A strange little side quest
The fun part of looking behind Papa's Cupcake Bake & Sweet Shop is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Tomatoes helped turn Naples' flatbreads into the food we recognize as pizza, which had become an important food for poorer Neapolitans by the 18th century. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
