A strange little side quest
The mechanics around Pizza Party have roots that stretch far beyond modern browsers. Electric refrigeration reached the American mass market in the late 1920s, changing how households stored food and even how desserts such as ice cream could be made at home. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. That gives Pizza Party a little more company than it first appears to have.
