A strange little side quest

Even a quick game like Planetarium sits on top of decades — and sometimes centuries — of ideas. Our solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a cloud of gas and dust collapsing under gravity. That is only half the story. The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games. That gives Planetarium a little more company than it first appears to have.
