A strange little side quest
Didi Ice Cream has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Electric refrigeration reached the American mass market in the late 1920s, changing how households stored food and even how desserts such as ice cream could be made at home. A second detail makes the picture even better: M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
