A strange little side quest
Papa’s Donuteria has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. It also connects to a different milestone: SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
