A strange little side quest
Between one round of Weapon Quest 3D and the next, this is worth knowing: Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. That is only half the story. Early computer role-playing games helped turn rules, inventories, exploration and character progression into systems that could support long-form digital adventures. That long chain of experiments is part of why archery still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
