A strange little side quest
The Perfect Tower belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Modern chess traces back to the Indian game chaturanga, recorded around the sixth century and built around pieces representing parts of an army. It also connects to a different milestone: Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. That gives The Perfect Tower a little more company than it first appears to have.
