A strange little side quest
Here is a rabbit hole for the next loading screen in The Bad Student: The Oregon Trail began in 1971 when three student teachers created a computer simulation to help Minnesota schoolchildren learn American history. That is only half the story. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. That long chain of experiments is part of why learning games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
