A strange little side quest
Grombi trivia break for Sue Chocolate Candy Maker: SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. A second detail makes the picture even better: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Sue Chocolate Candy Maker feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
