A strange little side quest
If Grill Champ sends you down a curiosity rabbit hole, start here. Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. And the history keeps stacking up: SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Grill Champ feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
