A strange little side quest

Before the next round of Speed Math, here is a piece of the bigger picture. The Oregon Trail began in 1971 when three student teachers created a computer simulation to help Minnesota schoolchildren learn American history. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
