A quick detour while Space 5 Diffs waits for your next move: The Moon orbits Earth at an average distance of about 385,000 kilometres, and surface gravity there is roughly one-sixth as strong as Earth's. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. The Oregon Trail eventually appeared across generations of computer hardware and sold tens of millions of copies, making it one of the most enduring educational games. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
