A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Ramen Cooking. Electric refrigeration reached the American mass market in the late 1920s, changing how households stored food and even how desserts such as ice cream could be made at home. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. SimCity grew out of Will Wright's enjoyment of the map editor he had built for an earlier game; the act of shaping a city became the game itself. That long chain of experiments is part of why food history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
