A strange little side quest
Pool Billiard has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Women competed in Olympic archery as early as 1904, making it one of the early Olympic sports to include women. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. So a round of Pool Billiard is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer archery timeline.
