A strange little side quest
The next time Pico Sim Date asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. That long chain of experiments is part of why simulation games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
