A strange little side quest
The fun part of looking behind Love Test with Horoscopes is seeing how many older ideas are still alive in modern play. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
