A strange little side quest
Put Kill Fred Durst next to the history of video-game history and a few unexpected connections appear. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. That gives Kill Fred Durst a little more company than it first appears to have.
