A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Jigsaw Puzzle X-Mas. Alexey Pajitnov created Tetris in 1984 after drawing inspiration from pentomino puzzles, then simplified the idea around shapes made from four squares. The same trail leads to another fact: Reader Rabbit's 1986 arrival was part of a major expansion of educational computer software before the CD-ROM boom of the 1990s. So a round of Jigsaw Puzzle X-Mas is not just a quick distraction; it is a tiny stop on a much longer puzzles timeline.
