A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Super Pixelint, here is a piece of the bigger picture. The Oregon Trail eventually appeared across generations of computer hardware and sold tens of millions of copies, making it one of the most enduring educational games. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. The screen is modern; the urge to test skill, pattern and timing definitely is not.
