A strange little side quest
Between one round of Ground Breaker and the next, this is worth knowing: The Oregon Trail mixed travel, supplies, risk and survival decisions decades before resource-management systems became common in mainstream games. And then there is this: Pac-Man went on sale in 1980, and its creator Toru Iwatani famously linked the character's shape to a pizza with a slice missing. That long chain of experiments is part of why simulation games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
