A strange little side quest
FNF VS Catnap: Sleep Well may feel immediate, but the ideas around video-game history have been evolving for a very long time. Spacewar! appeared on MIT's PDP-1 in 1962 and became one of the earliest influential computer games shared among programmers. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
