A strange little side quest
Fly for Fly has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Women competed in Olympic archery as early as 1904, making it one of the early Olympic sports to include women. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. It is a good reminder that simple game mechanics can carry a surprising amount of history.
