A strange little side quest

Before the next round of Flower Garden, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. That gives Flower Garden a little more company than it first appears to have.
