A strange little side quest
One reason arcade history keeps producing good game ideas around Rocks Miner is that its history is full of strange turns. Midway's Gun Fight from 1975 was the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. A second detail makes the picture even better: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Rocks Miner feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
