A strange little side quest
There is a neat bit of history hiding behind the kind of play you find in Mahjong Collection. The first crossword puzzle book appeared in 1924 in a cautious initial printing of 3,600 copies, complete with a free pencil. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
