A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Dog Dash is anything but tiny. Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. That long chain of experiments is part of why arcade history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
