A strange little side quest
Trucks of War has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game, decades before modern 3D racers. The same trail leads to another fact: Space Invaders arrived in 1978 and helped turn electronic games from an arcade curiosity into mainstream entertainment. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
