A strange little side quest
Tower Defense Unity has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Modern chess traces back to the Indian game chaturanga, recorded around the sixth century and built around pieces representing parts of an army. A second detail makes the picture even better: Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That long chain of experiments is part of why strategy games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
