A strange little side quest
Desert Storm has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
