A strange little side quest
Before the next round of The Utans - Defender of Mavas, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Chess changed dramatically in Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries when the queen became the board's most powerful piece. The same trail leads to another fact: In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That long chain of experiments is part of why strategy games still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
