A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around The Flying Farm Lite is anything but tiny. M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That gives The Flying Farm Lite a little more company than it first appears to have.
