A strange little side quest
Zoom out from Stylist for a Star Arianna for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. By the 1890s, department stores and mail-order catalogs were selling mass-produced ready-to-wear clothes in standardized styles and price ranges. And the history keeps stacking up: Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. That gives Stylist for a Star Arianna a little more company than it first appears to have.
