A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Date Night #GRWM, here is a piece of the bigger picture. By the 1890s, department stores and mail-order catalogs were selling mass-produced ready-to-wear clothes in standardized styles and price ranges. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Nintendo's Donkey Kong arrived in 1981 and introduced the character first known as Jumpman, who later became Mario. That long chain of experiments is part of why fashion and style still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
