A strange little side quest
One reason space keeps producing good game ideas around Space Shoot is that its history is full of strange turns. Our solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago from a cloud of gas and dust collapsing under gravity. That is only half the story. Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Space Shoot feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
