A strange little side quest
Snail Bob 4 Space has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. The first crossword puzzle book appeared in 1924 in a cautious initial printing of 3,600 copies, complete with a free pencil. A second detail makes the picture even better: The Oregon Trail eventually appeared across generations of computer hardware and sold tens of millions of copies, making it one of the most enduring educational games. That is the kind of background detail that makes another attempt at Snail Bob 4 Space feel a bit more connected to the history of play.
