The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Cooking Show: Steak is anything but tiny. Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. A second detail makes the picture even better: Reader Rabbit's 1986 arrival was part of a major expansion of educational computer software before the CD-ROM boom of the 1990s. That gives Cooking Show: Steak a little more company than it first appears to have.
