A strange little side quest
Between one round of Cooking Show: Fish n Chips and the next, this is worth knowing: Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. Another piece of context lands nicely beside it: Reader Rabbit's 1986 arrival was part of a major expansion of educational computer software before the CD-ROM boom of the 1990s. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
