A strange little side quest
Rugby Challenge has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Basketball became an Olympic medal sport in 1936, while women’s basketball joined the Olympic programme in 1976. That long chain of experiments is part of why combat sports still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
