A strange little side quest
Rescue Six belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Gun Fight reached arcades in 1975 and became the first arcade video game to use a microprocessor. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
