A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Ren & Stimpy's Robin Hoek is anything but tiny. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. The timeline takes another interesting turn: Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
