A strange little side quest

Zoom out from Cactus Mayhem for a moment and the timeline gets surprisingly deep. Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form. It also connects to a different milestone: Pong was field-tested in California bars in 1972 and helped launch the modern arcade-game era. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
