A strange little side quest
Before the next round of Ragdoll Sniper, here is a piece of the bigger picture. Archery first appeared at the Olympic Games in 1900 and returned permanently to the programme in 1972 after a long absence. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That history is one reason familiar mechanics can still feel new when they are recombined well.
