A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Pyramid Solitaire: Ancient Rome is anything but tiny. Street Fighter II, released in 1991, turned head-to-head arcade fighting into a worldwide phenomenon and helped define the modern fighting-game genre. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Space Invaders, released in 1978, helped push video games into mainstream popular culture. That gives Pyramid Solitaire: Ancient Rome a little more company than it first appears to have.
