A strange little side quest
The rules may be simple on screen, but the backstory around Pool Strike is anything but tiny. Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. That old idea kept changing rather than disappearing. Atari's Gran Trak 10 from 1974 is recognized as the first arcade racing video game. That long chain of experiments is part of why sports history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
