A strange little side quest
Put Dunk A Lot next to the history of basketball and a few unexpected connections appear. Basketball was invented by James Naismith in 1891 at the International YMCA Training School in Springfield, Massachusetts. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Archery was already on the Olympic programme in 1900, boxing joined the modern Games in 1904, and basketball became a medal sport in 1936. Not bad for a few facts hiding behind a Play button.
