A strange little side quest

A small trivia drop for Papa's PanCakeria: Nancy Johnson patented a hand-cranked ice-cream freezer in 1843 that used an inner churning chamber surrounded by ice. That is only half the story. M.U.L.E. arrived in 1983 with multiplayer competition built around gathering resources and keeping a colony alive, an early example of resource-driven strategy play. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
