A strange little side quest
The next time My Painting Book asks for one more try, remember that game ideas rarely appear from nowhere. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. That long chain of experiments is part of why video-game history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
