A strange little side quest
Meme Beatdown has plenty of company in a long tradition of players chasing timing, patterns and better decisions. In 1958, Tennis for Two used an analog computer and an oscilloscope to turn simple physics into a playable tennis-like demonstration. The surprising part is how quickly the next milestone followed. Computer Space reached arcades in 1971 and became one of the earliest commercial electronic arcade games, even though its controls proved demanding for many players. The details change, but the appeal of learning a system and trying again is remarkably persistent.
