A strange little side quest
Mecha Storm: Robot Battle belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Games resembling checkers were being played thousands of years ago; evidence of related games reaches back to around 1600 BC. There is another connection worth keeping in the same mental pocket: Boxing was part of the ancient Olympic Games by 688 BC, long before gloves, weight classes, or timed rounds existed in anything like their modern form.
