A strange little side quest
Maggie's Bakery: Kitchen Queen belongs to a much longer story of play than a browser tab might suggest. Tomatoes helped turn Naples' flatbreads into the food we recognize as pizza, which had become an important food for poorer Neapolitans by the 18th century. The broader history adds one more wrinkle. By the 1890s, department stores and mail-order catalogs were selling mass-produced ready-to-wear clothes in standardized styles and price ranges. That long chain of experiments is part of why food history still feels fresh when a game finds the right twist.
